Next, depending on the phase of the initiative, issues of control and ownership, financial flows and risk management need to be agreed on. Internal Allignment A vision and mission reflects the shared values of an energy community, on the basis of which decisions are taken. Resources, Skills & Competences New initiatives but also established energy communities often face challenges in terms of available (human, financial, relational, knowledge) resources, skills, competences. Broader Collaboration The strength of energy communities depends on their ability to pool resources and collaborate with others, such as other energy communities, local stakeholders and energy sector stakeholders.
